The firms credentials include providing lectures and writing for national publications regarding Maryland real estate tax assessment matters as well as other Maryland state and local tax matters (Sales & Use Tax, Personal Property Tax, Transfer & Recordation Tax, etc.). Click the "Publications" page for a list of some of the publications.

And More
We represent our clients in all 23 Maryland counties and Baltimore City, from the Assessor Level through the Maryland Tax Court (and beyond, if necessary). There are three levels of appeal in Maryland: Supervisor of Assessment, Appeals Board and the Maryland Tax Court. Only attorneys are allowed to practice before The Maryland Tax Court. This is a major factor to consider in retaining representation. Retaining an attorney insures continuity in the appeals process should a Tax Court hearing be necessary.
By focusing our practice on Maryland assessment appeals, we are able to provide our clients with tremendous results. First, by focusing solely on Maryland appeals, we are uniquely positioned to know and understand the market. This establishes knowledge. Second, by focusing on Maryland, we work with all of the commercial assessors in each jurisdiction on a regular basis. This establishes trust. Moreover, by focusing on Maryland, we are able to personally represent our clients at the hearings with the assessor, the various appeals boards, or the Maryland Tax Court. This establishes credibility. The combination of knowledge, trust, and credibility ultimately results in a lower assessed value and in turn a lower tax bill.
We would welcome the opportunity to represent you and minimize your Maryland tax liabilities. We believe we are uniquely positioned to do so. Please refer to the Practice Areas page to learn more about the other Maryland tax areas for which we provide representation.
